Robert Half Corporate Responsibility Report

Ref. NE-00725

Following a series of executive roundtable discussions earlier this year on the topic of 'Corporate Responsibility and the Modern Business Leader', Robert Half in partnership with the ICAEW has released a report focusing on the role of corporate responsibility in businesses across the UK today.

The findings confirmed that corporate responsibility and good corporate citizenship are increasingly important to successful business operations and a formal corporate responsibility policy makes 'good business sense'.

Three clear areas of priority within the corporate responsibility framework emerged during the discussions:

  1. People - covering employee welfare and benefits which strongly facilitated the attraction and retention of quality staff;
  2. Planet - environmental sustainability, which encompasses an organisation's carbon footprint and;
  3. Profit - where a proactive approach to corporate responsibility was seen as a positive influence on both customer/client purchasing decisions and a direct contribution to the bottom line.

A growing philantrophic mindset amongst business leaders, customers and suppliers is prompting organisations to adopt formal corporate social responsibility programmes.
