The disruption and change brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic has many people rethinking their priorities, including whether they should change jobs or even consider an entirely new career path. If you’re in either camp, we suggest that you consider exploring potential job opportunities at Robert Half.
Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialised talent solutions firm. We’ve been around for a long time - more than 70 years - and we’ve seen a lot of change in that time. We’re always evolving, looking for new perspectives to expand our thinking and re-imagine our future.
One constant has been our focus on helping people connect with work that they find fulfilling and makes the best use of their skills and interests – and that includes the people we hire for our own team. We know what a difference it makes in morale when our employees feel valued, are compensated fairly and can advance in their career. Others are taking notice as well. This year, Forbes named Robert Half as one of the World’s Best Employers - the only talent solutions company to receive this accolade in the Business Services and Supplies category.
Here are just five of many reasons to consider building your career at Robert Half — and why now is a great time to do so:
At Robert Half, there are no limits to where hard work and talent can take your career. We strive to help all people within our company find their professional path and grow their skills and expertise by providing innovative projects, as well as creating an engaging, supportive and inclusive work environment.
We give our employees the tools they need to succeed. With advanced technology and world-class training and skills development resources — including our library of thousands of online training courses, videos and books covering a wide variety of business and technical skills — our team members can learn continuously throughout their careers here.
It’s not uncommon to find professionals working at Robert Half who have been with our company for 10, 15, 20 years — or even longer. Our leaders have worked their way up through the ranks, forging their own career path within our organisation, often in multiple locations across the globe.
Creating a workplace experience that allows us to attract and retain standout talent requires that we listen closely and frequently to what our employees have to say. That’s why we survey our employees regularly on various topics, including collaboration, manager support and organisational culture. We have formal processes in place to respond to employee feedback so we can keep growing and improving as a company.
- Opportunity and purpose
Whether you’re on our talent solutions team or our corporate team at Robert Half, your work can genuinely contribute to changing lives. We present them with opportunities they wouldn’t find on their own, nurturing their careers while helping companies find the talent they need to fulfil their objectives.
Another way we work to change lives, as a company, is by making it easy for our employees to donate to causes they care about and get involved with specific initiatives. As well as whole company charitable events, we offer opportunities to volunteer and payroll giving, so our people can get involved in a way that suits them.
Through these efforts, we’re supporting our employees in their work to drive positive change in their local communities and support causes they care deeply about. And we believe these initiatives give our employees even more reasons to feel proud to be part of the Robert Half team.
- Stability and innovation
Sure, Robert Half has been around for a while (since 1948, to be exact), but that doesn’t mean we’re a company that’s stuck in the past. We’re proud of who we are and what we’ve achieved, but we are always looking for new and different perspectives.
Our teams are innovative and always ready to tackle new challenges in today’s rapidly evolving business world, making us one of the best talent solution providers out there. Don’t just take our word for it: Robert Half has been named on Fortune’s “World’s Most Admired Companies” list every year since 1998 and we remain the top-ranked staffing firm (February 2021).
If you can expand our viewpoint and diversify our thinking, we want you to join our community and help shape the new ’us’.
Whether you’re in London, San Francisco or Tokyo, Robert Half likely has an office in your local area — or an area you’ve had your eye on for a while. We offer our colleagues the flexibility to work remotely and maintain hybrid work schedules, although this varies on role and location.
With more than 300 office locations across Europe, North America, South America, Asia and Asia Pacific, Robert Half touches the careers of professionals and businesses around the world. Many of our employees move around within our company too, and we’re happy to help relocate them for their next big opportunity.
- Diversity, equity and inclusion
Diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) are words we don’t take lightly at Robert Half. Our founder, Bob Half, was dedicated to the idea of equal employment from the very start, lobbying against discriminatory hiring policies prevalent in the staffing industry at the time. 70 years later, we have built strong programs to promote DEI in the workplace to make sure we continue to put ethics at the heart of what we do.
We want to have a corporate culture where all people can connect, thrive and grow. As a global organisation, we recognise the importance of having a variety of backgrounds, perspectives and experiences represented throughout the company. This includes people of different ethnicities, races, religions, genders, sexual orientations, physical abilities, ages, educational backgrounds and social classes.
Our employees strive to create relationships with each other, our candidates and clients, external organisations and members of the local community to learn about the backgrounds of those we serve and support. This helps to create a dynamic and inclusive environment, where people feel welcome, are comfortable being themselves at work and embrace what makes each person unique.
Our DEI programmes have been shaped around the interests and priorities of our employees. Some recent examples include our employee network groups (ENGs), which are communities within our company that are organically created around a common purpose, interest or background.
Black Employee Network (BEN)
BEN was the first ENG to form at our company. Three Robert Half employees organised and launched the group last summer. One co-founder of BEN said, “Being involved in BEN has been such a benefit to my employee experience. It’s connected me to colleagues I likely never would have interacted with … and involved me in projects that speak to my head and my heart, so I truly feel like I’m bringing my best self to work.
Global Women’s Employee Network (GWEN)
GWEN, launched in March 2021, is helping us close the gender gap. GWEN’s mission is to champion and amplify women’s perspectives while creating networks, community, and growth opportunities for women. One of the group’s co-founders said in a recent interview: “I’ve been fortunate to have woman peers and leaders at Robert Half who have helped inspire me to be a better leader.”
What's your path?
Now that you know more about our company and what we stand for, you may be wondering what kind of career you can build with us.
Robert Half offers distinct career paths to help professionals get to their next goal, and you’ll be working with and learning from a very talented group of people. Our talent solutions teams specialise in a variety of industries, while our corporate teams help our organisation innovate and run at peak performance.
If you like a fast-paced, engaging and rewarding work environment, recruiting may be the right career path for you. It’s hard work to develop your recruiting expertise and business at first, but our recruiters often say the best part of their job is placing a candidate in that perfect position — a win for the client, candidate and us.
What industry interests you or do you have experience in? Finance and accounting? Creative and marketing? Technology? Legal? What about HR? Many of our professionals have backgrounds in these industries and have developed a successful recruiting career with little to no recruiting experience. You can utilise or develop your industry knowledge while working with and learning from the best in the industry.

Just because we’re a talent solutions company doesn’t mean everyone at Robert Half is a recruiting professional. We certainly wouldn’t have grown to be the largest specialised talent solutions firm in the world without our corporate services team, which offers a wide variety of exciting career paths and opportunities across all business functions.
Our corporate services team makes it possible for our recruiters to place many thousands of people in permanent and temporary positions each year. Our business is constantly innovating, and our IT, human resources, marketing, finance and operational support teams work together to stay ahead of the competition and make our organization a great place to work.
Do you have the skills we’re looking for? If the answer is yes, we want you to apply!
Another good reason to build a career at Robert Half is the fact that … well … we’re experts on careers. We place hundreds of thousands of people in positions every year and help companies around the globe develop their businesses. If you go the distance, we’ll reward you – we want to fuel your career and help you thrive, which is why we offer a wide range of benefits.
