Tony Byrne is a Managing Director at Robert Half Executive Search which specialises in the retained search and placement of executive-level financial officers (CFOs/FD’s); information technology, sales and marketing, legal and human resources professionals; as well as COOs and CEOs, in growth-oriented, small- to medium-sized businesses, with annual revenues typically between £10m to £2b.

Based out of Birmingham, Tony has a wealth of search experience spanning nearly three decades.

Starting his career working in financial roles Tony then moved to Robert Half starting in the Birmingham office in 1989. Tony has built up a strong reputation within C-suite executive and leadership search, seeing clients repeatedly turn to him as their preferred executive search and placement consultant.

Tony has advised and worked in retained search partnerships with clients in a variety of sectors including manufacturing, engineering, automotive, FMCG, retail, distribution, transport, property, construction.

He has applied his search experience across a diverse varied range of ownership/management structures including privately-owned family businesses, SME’s, Plc.’s, UK subsidiaries of international groups, private-equity, as well as not-for-profit and professional bodies.

Charlie Grubb is a Managing Director at Robert Half Executive Search. Drawing more than two decades experience in the recruitment industry, Charlie will work with clients across the UK assisting them to find the very best talent to complement their C-suite and executive team.

His clients have included FTSE 250 corporations as well as early stage VC or PE-backed companies, in technology, healthcare, retail, distribution and financial services.

Having joined Robert Half in 2013 as the Associate Director for Robert Half Technology, Charlie was responsible for managing our offices across the London, Birmingham and Bristol locations and was one of the founding members of the Robert Half Technology business within the UK.

Prior to this, Charlie gained a wealth of experience in C-suite recruitment and executive search having established and managed a privately-owned executive search firm for eight years, working with businesses across professional services, retail and distribution, banking and financial services, health, education, and not-for-profit sectors. Combining this with his impeccable track record of placing highly-skilled technology and digital professionals, Charlie specialises in the placement of Chief Executive Officers (CEOs), Managing Directors, Chief Operating Officers, Chief Information Officer, Chief Technology Officers, HR Directors and Commercial Directors.

Charlie has excelled in developing strong relationships with executive boards to advise on their recruitment needs backed up with solutions to ultimately find a successful candidate for the position. Charlie enjoys rising to a challenge, a trait that he carries with him outside of work. Being an avid outdoor challenger, Charlie has completed the infamous Oxfam Trailtrekker in Yorkshire walking 100kms in 25 hours, and placed third in the 2015 Race the Sun event. When he isn’t competing he enjoys playing cricket, real tennis, running, and walking Hadrian’s Wall.

Robert “Rob” Wolfe is a Managing Director at Robert Half Executive Search, specialising in executive and senior-level search engagements across multiple industry sectors.

For over 12 years Rob has acted as a trusted business partner to source senior leaders for organisations based both domestically and internationally.  Based out of Milton Keynes, Rob has gained progressive industry experience and brings an in-depth knowledge to a senior search project.

Rob focuses on forming long-term partnerships with his clients in order to offer a truly consultative service built on time investment, integrity and a considered service delivery to generate the right solution – sourcing highly skilled, suitable C-suite and senior-leadership professionals.

Having worked within three industry leading recruitment consultancy firms during this career, he has built up a wealth of knowledge in the senior search space, working with a multitude of clients to find solutions to their needs.

Beginning his career with Robert Half in 2004, Rob has worked his way up in the industry from consultant-level and quickly made a name for himself.  Rob managed the senior permanent finance recruitment team and through his success and strong reputation he was promoted to Head of Executive Services the following year. Through his leadership and ability to act as a true business partner to his clients, he has been able to support small- to medium-enterprises who are growth-oriented, and looking to invest in their senior and executive talent.

Rob demonstrates a service delivery model, attention to detail and understanding of the recruitment market that is second to none. His approach and style of working is to focus on long-term relationships and the accomplishment of shared goals.

Rob has regularly been recognised for his excellence in the recruitment industry and most recently was the recipient of the ‘Top Performers Award’ presented at the Savoy in London. In his spare time, he manages his own property portfolio, enjoys clay pigeon shooting and spending time with his family and friends.
