Robert Half are working with Ace Liftaway, to recruit for a finance assistant role.
This is a finance assistant role based in Romsey. You will be working on Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger and Credit Control, as well as joining in with other areas of the finance team to learn how to help out when other people on the team are away.
The team has a real family feel to it, working in a small office you will quickly have the opportunity to gain exposure to a wide variety of people in the business. Whether you're in the office processing invoices, on the phone speaking to creditors and debtors, or out in the workshop gathering info from the team placing the orders, this is a varied role that will keep you thinking on your feet.
Ace Liftaway are looking for somebody with a strong transactional accounting background. Working in a small finance team, you will be responsible for Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger and Credit Control.
- Invoice matching
- Invoice coding
- Getting invoices approved by MD
- Making approved payments
- Dispute resolution
- Monthly statement runs
- Running credit check on companies
- Sending reminder letters
- Making reminder and chasing phone calls
- Building relationships with debtors
- Escalating proceedings if necessary after non-payment.
You will have at least 2 year's experience in a transactional finance role. You will have a friendly and confident phone manner, be good at building relationships at every level and willing to put your hand to anything. You will work with different areas of the business, so need to be as happy in the office as out in the workshops.
Experienced at using Sage line 50, and with strong excel skills, you will be looking to join a stable finance team, with a huge amount of tenure that has a great family feel.
Ace Liftaway is a family run business established in 1988. Primarily dealing with skip hire and waste management the business started with one truck and eight mini skips and has grown to include a fleet of different size skip vehicles, an Ace Loos department and a Waste Recycling & Processing Facility.
