Description

Robert Half are currently recruiting an Accounts Payable Manager for a rapidly growing business based in Birmingham. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Accounts Payable Manager who is keen to join a diverse team with a great culture.

This is an integral role within the Finance Team which requires strong communication between internal and external stakeholders to ensure all processes are compliant.

Role

Accounts Payable Manager - Birmingham

  • Effective use of allocated resource within the AP team to drive continuous improvement
  • Monitor team performance using appropriate KPIs
  • Train, develop and manage the AP team to ensure processes are completed with accuracy
  • Educating the business to followed process in a timely manner
  • Deliver efficient and effective finance risk management
  • Oversee expenditure across the business to ensure transactions are approved and matched to PO number sin line with business policy
  • Build effective relationships with internal stakeholders ensuring processes are adhered to
  • Liaise with suppliers to resolve payment queries and ensure all invoices are posted
  • Regular review of aged creditors to ensure suppliers are paid accordingly
  • Manage payment runs according to BACs and reconcile supplier statements
  • Maintain relationships with key suppliers
  • Provide accurate data to facilitate month end, year-end accounts and audit preparation
  • Provide guidance and support to the wider business and direct reports

Profile

  • Management of accounts payable team
  • Previous experience in a managerial role with solid technical experience
  • Demonstrable experience of process improvement
  • Experience working in a fast paced, target driven environment and meeting deadlines

Salary & Benefits

£32,000 - £35,000

25 days plus Bank Holidays
