Description

Role: Accounts Payable Team Leader

Robert Half are pleased to be working with a market leading Business based in Bristol, to appoint an Accounts Payable Team Leader. As the Accounts Payable Team Leader, you will lead the Accounts Payable team on a day to day basis, manage the day to day workload of the team to provide a professional and efficient accounts payable service.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To lead the Accounts Payable team, manage annual leave, sickness and actively support team members to provide a comprehensive AP service through mentoring and training
  • To assist in the invoice and payment processing systems to ensure payments are valid, accurate and complete
  • To carry out due diligence checks prior to payments for processing to the Support Centre Finance Manager
  • To resolve any queries or issues regarding invoices and payments in a timely manner
  • Accountable for the reconciliation process for supplier payments ensuring the Top 40 suppliers are reconciled on a monthly basis
  • To produce and supply management information as requested including aged creditor reports and purchasing information
  • Carry out weekly and monthly payment runs
  • To ensure that any amounts owed to the company by suppliers are recovered on a timely basis
  • To work cross functionally with all teams across the business to ensure excellent supplier relations are maintained through accurate and prompt payments
  • To prepare audit information as required
  • Ensure that all financial records are accurate and complete, and maintained in accordance with relevant company, external audit and legislative requirements
  • To proactively integrate newly acquired practices ensuring all supplier payments are seamlessly moved to the Accounts Payable Team.
  • Proactively improve processes and systems to support the Practice
  • Ad-Hoc work as required

Essential:

  • Takes a hands-on approach to work, including data input as required
  • Pro-active approach to dealing with issues and providing solutions
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Desirable:

  • AAT part/fully Qualified
  • Experience of using CODA
