CREDIT CONTROL SUPERVISOR

Central Bristol

Up to £29,000 (plus lucrative bonus)

Robert Half are working with a Supply business in Central Bristol who are seeking a self-motivated and hard-working Senior Credit Controller to join their fast-paced team. This opportunity is perfect for results driven individuals who are looking to develop their skillset and develop. The Role

The Senior Credit Controller will report directly into the Credit Manager, working closely alongside senior colleagues and customers. The main responsibility of the role is to renforce the company's credit management policy, maximise cash flow and minimise the company's debt, as well as manage and develop a team of Credit Management clerks.

Duties include but are not exhaustive to:

  • To lead and develop a team of Credit Management Clerks
  • Review outstanding debtors to ensure debt is collected in line with procedure and monthly set targets
  • Prepare and issue Litigation and Bad debt packs to the Litigation department
  • Credit card reconciliations
  • Review credit risk position and enforce account sanctions where applicable
  • Month end cash forecasts and month end reporting
  • Sign off cheque and bacs requisitions
  • Attend daily/ weekly review meetings with Credit Manager
  • Review implement and monitor targets for all team members

Your Profile:

  • Confident level of credit control knowledge and experience, proven experience within debt collection
  • Supervisory experience
  • Experience of liaising with external and internal members of staff at various levels
  • Experience of working in credit control/transactional finance within a large organisation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a flair for building relationships
  • Good organisational awareness and operational excellence
  • Demonstrable experience in managing/reconciling account disputes, conflicts with successful results
  • Demonstrating instructions and procedures
  • Motivated, a self starter, enthusiastic, can handle pressure and setbacks
