Description

Robert Half currently have an exciting new short-term interim opportunity for a well-established Finance Manager with highly successful business based in North Bristol. This role offers an excellent opportunity for the successful applicant to grow their experience with a highly reputable company.

Role

Accountable for:

  • Reporting, analysing and providing constructive commentary on monthly, quarterly and YTD results
  • Communicating effectively with managers by sharing and interpreting information that will help to improve business performance
  • Contribute to annual budgeting and planning process

Responsible for:

  • Preparing reports, budgets, commentaries and financial statements
  • Liaising with managerial staff and other colleagues
  • Controlling and forecasting income and expenditure
  • Prepare statutory accounts
  • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations
  • Lead, manage, guide and motivate a team
  • Review accounting processes and practices and improve where necessary to ensure efficient financial operations
  • Authorising of cash flow forecasting
  • Review company assets and liabilities
  • Assessment of monthly expenses
  • Approval of VAT returns
  • Review and approval of weekly payments

Profile

  • The ability to work as part of a team
  • Proven analytical skills and strong attention to accuracy and detail
  • Confident and able to build strong relationships at management/board levels
  • Ability to use own initiative
  • Able to challenge and articulate opinions succinctly and persuasively
  • Relevant financial experience from an accountancy or internal finance function
  • Ability to manage their own time and to manage the expectations of numerous stakeholders
  • Fully qualified accountant (CIMA/ACA/ACCA)
  • Thorough understanding of management information systems
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and able to successfully communicate with people at all levels, both financial and non-financial
  • Advance Excel skills

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of SAGE 200
  • Understanding of Payroll and HMRC processes
  • Understanding of IFRS15
  • Knowledge of US accountancy processes
