Robert Half Office Team are currently recruiting for an Indirect Procurement Manger to join an exciting business who are based in Bristol. The Indirect Procurement Commodity is responsible for managing all capital expenditure and product related Services across Europe and Special Products Group, ensuring requirements are met on time and in accordance with the appropriate quality standards, through a highly capable and cost effective supply base. The Commodity Specialist - Indirect role entails operating with a large degree of autonomy, being an integral part of both an effective Procurement team and effective project teams.
Accountabilities & Responsibilities
Supporting and contributing to the development of the strategy for their scope of activity across Europe and Special Products Group and implementation thereof.
Supporting projects across Europe as part of a multi-functional team to ensure the supply of investments and/ or services on time, to quality and at target costs in accordance with technical requirements.
Management of the commercial relationship with suppliers in order to secure work with best-in-class suppliers and Special Products Group from industrial and legal risks.
Delivery of cost reductions using such levers as, long term agreements, product standardisation, volume aggregation, control of the demand and challenge of the specifications
Delivery of extended payment terms, and Special Product Group's cash position in accordance with targets.
Administrator, Skills and Experience Required
Industrial means to internal customers on time, to quality and at costs meeting their technical requirements, through the appropriate tendering process.
Rationalised supply chain supplier panels and bidding lists.
Contracts properly negotiated and managed with the suppliers to reduce risks and in line with required processes.
Internal Customer satisfaction.
A minimum of 3 years' experience working in Procurement and preferably some experience of Indirect Procurement.
Strong commercial experience including experience of tendering, negotiating, and contract management.
The ability to work across international boundaries and manage remote teams.
Excellent communication skills - including first class reporting techniques.
Excellent project management techniques and experience.
Excellent commercial and negotiation skills.
Excellent supply chain management experience and skills.
Good working knowledge and capability of all company operating systems, particularly SAP.
Salary; £34,000 - £50,000 per annum.
