Description

Robert Half Finance and Accounting are currently looking to recruit an Purchase Ledger Supervisor to join an exciting Retail company experiencing huge growth based near central Bristol. For the right person the client is offering a very competitive:

£25,000 - £30,000 plus excellent benefits

Role responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Supervise a small team of Purchase Ledger Clerks
  • Manage the work flow within the function, ensuring the team are kept on task and results focused
  • Ensure that supplier accounts are maintained efficiently
  • Responsible for the processing of supplier payment runs
  • Liaison with other business departments to resolve supplier queries
  • Build relationships with suppliers and be the first point of contact
  • Conducting return to work interviews for Purchase Ledger Clerks
  • Work professionally as a member of the team, communicating information efficiently and effectively to other team members as required
  • Develop and maintain constructive working relationships with key stakeholders
  • Ensure front line enquiries are dealt with promptly
  • Ensure correct input, maintenance and retrieval of data
  • Accept ownership for timely completion of tasks, within tight deadlines
  • Promote and share a good working environment

Person specification:

  • Ability to supervise a team
  • Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of the Purchase Ledger function
  • Demonstrable experience of supervising and leading a team
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to prioritise workloads utilising all resources to ensure that objectives are met
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Able to work on own initiative
  • Must be willing to adopt a hands-on approach and assist others when required
  • Excellent IT skills including MS Excel, Word, Outlook
