Description

Robert Half are recruiting for a part time insuranace co-ordinator in Cardiff.

Role

Reporting to the Group Chief Accountant and as a key member of the Group Finance Team, the Insurance Co-Ordinator role is to effectively administer the Group's insurance portfolio, to ensure that appropriate cover is in place at all times at a competitive insurance premium rate. The role will also administer the Group's legal contracts database and support on an ad-hoc basis the Group Finance Team's routine activities.

Manage the Group portfolio of Corporate General Insurance circa £1m+ premium.

Manage the Group Private Medical circa £130k+ premium 115 members.

Manage the motor insurance database

Responsibility for ensuring the correct General insurance policies are in place and with the correct cover.

Liaising closely with site senior management to ensure all sector insurance requirements are met.

Liaising closely with the Broker to establish and build a good working relationship and for them to fully understand the changing requirements of our business.

Liaising closely with FFG Health & Safety teams with the objective of monitoring claims performance.

Distribute annual renewal insurance information forms to all sites.

Manage the renewal administration process.

Attending claims meetings for the enlarged Group in order to overview trends and patterns across the sites with the ultimate goal of monitoring cause and effect on annual premiums to try and improve rates.

Assessing and discussing current and future insurance requirements of all sites.

Negotiating policy terms, renewal and costs, bursaries and/or funding from insurers, with the Groups' Insurance Brokers.

Arranging ad-hoc insurance cover for any of the enlarged Group's sites.

Preparing annual Insurance Budgets.

Preparing site allocations of insurance premiums on the most appropriate basis, correlated to claims experience and Risk Improvement investments.

Working with the sites Health & Safety teams to review liability claims, including occasional attendance to H&S meetings.

Work with Brokers to prepare the Plc Board annual report.

Profile

Knowledge and experience of the insurance industry and managing insurance programs within manufacturing environment.
