Robert Half Finance & Accounting are proud to be partnering with Ontic Engineering & Manufacturing in their recruitment of a Group Reporting & Consolidation Manager on a permanent basis.

Ontic are a globally well-established business with more than 45 years' experience in providing OEM-pedigree parts and specialised maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services. This is a great opportunity to join Ontic within a period of significant change and a chance for value add in business processes and future growth.

Due to the development and implementation aspects of the role, having both a technical and commercial understanding is vital. Offices are based in Cheltenham, making them comfortably accessible from both Bristol and Birmingham.

Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the elimination of Intragroup transactions and balances
  • Ensuring entities complete their submissions accurately and in a timely manner
  • Liaising with entities around the world to provide guidance and advice on technical accounting and Group policy requirements
  • Maintaining a high-level overview of costs and provisions being booked to Exceptional Costs
  • Assisting with the preparation of the month end narrative pack for distribution to Senior Management and Board.
  • Assisting with the production of Ontic Group's reporting in line with stakeholder requirements
  • Producing UK GAAP and IFRS accounting records for all entities in an accurate, compliant and timely manner, ensuring the process is appropriately planned, communicated, controlled and documented as appropriate
  • Acting as key contact for external auditors on Half Year and Year End audits, providing consolidation information and dealing with any queries Identifying process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
  • Acting as a key user and owner of the Group's consolidation reporting system, including responsibility over GL mapping within the system, initially key in developing this system

Required Skills:

  • ACA/ACCA qualified, with 3+ year PQE. Big4 Trained would be advantageous.
  • Demonstrable skill at providing technical IFRS accounting advice.
  • Able to demonstrate an understanding of the commercial aspects of the business and have worked within an international, complex business environment supporting senior management decision making beyond finance.
  • Adept at stakeholder management and communication (both written and verbal).
  • Ability to simplify complex commercial information to a variety of senior management and stakeholders
