Working in a small team you must be hands on and proactive with a can do attitude and a strong accounting background. The role

This is a pivotal role within a small team, managing the core finance processes as well as other office management duties including aspects of HR. We are looking for someone who is hands on and ideally has experience in a similar role. We are also looking for someone who is truly invested in the business and is happy to contribute where resource is required. Responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:

  • Payroll for approximately 25 staff members.
  • Sales and purchase ledger.
  • Month end preparation.
  • Accounts preparation up to trial balance.
  • HR duties including: monitoring of health and safety procedures, advertising vacancies, monitoring holiday cover and starters and finishers.
  • Credit control.
  • Stock control.

Requirements

To be considered for this role you must be an experienced finance professional with experience of working in a similar role. You must be hands on and proactive with a positive work ethic. You will ideally have the following skills/knowledge:

  • Month end preparation.
  • Payroll.
  • AAT qualified.
  • Systems -Sage line 50, Sage payroll.
