Robert Half are currently recruiting for one of the world's largest book publishers. The company publishes around 1,000 books a year and employs 900 people in the U.K. They lead the industry in innovation and were the first trade publisher to digitise content and create a global digital warehouse, protecting the rights of authors, meeting consumer demand and generating many additional business opportunities. Due to continuous growth and success they are looking to add a Senior Commercial Analyst to their team.
As a Senior Commercial Analyst, you will prepare investment cases for new acquisitions and create draft P&Ls for potential acquisitions. You will project manage the budgeting and forecasting process on a quarterly basis and work with other areas of the business (e.g. editorial, sales, production and marketing) to gain relevant information to help compile the budget and forecast. As part of your role, you will manage month end analysis of actual performance of the division (and departments within) against forecast and budget with assistance from the Commercial Analyst. There will also be a large degree of ad-hoc analysis to the role I.E Sales reporting, Ebook to physical trend analysis and Sub department reviews.
Salary & Requirements: £42-45k plus further benefits including study support should it be required. All candidates must be a finalist or fully qualified accountant. Prior experience with business partnering, management accountants, forecasting and budgeting is highly desirable.
