Group Reporting Accountant - 12 month FTC

Reports to: Head of External Reporting

Robert Half Finance and Accounting are working on behalf of a large listed organisation seeking an ambitious Group Reporting Accountant with strong technical and PLC reporting experience.

The role will initially be an FTC for 12-15 months with a possibility of conversion to permanent position. Successful candidate should be self-starter, innovative with good communication skills and able to work under tighter half year and year-end deadlines.

Main responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Preparing Group consolidated annual and interim accounts under IFRS
  • Preparing international subsidiaries statutory accounts under local GAAPs
  • Leading monthly consolidation using Business Panning & Consolidation system to produce the Groups consolidated reports and subsidiary trial balances
  • One of the key contacts to PwC UK and overseas teams for the Group and subsidiaries audits
  • Leading the half year and year-end timetables
  • Planning and coordinating Group annual audit and half year work with external auditors and internal teams to ensure agreed reporting deadlines are met
  • Reconciliation of Groups equity accounts on a monthly basis and preparation of primary financial statements
  • Preparing Groups cash flow forecasts
  • Maintaining Groups various foreign exchange rates
  • Performing banking covenants tests for the half year and year-end
  • Improving and streamlining reporting procedures
  • Managing internal and external contacts (e.g. audit, tax, treasury, GL, company secretarial and other support functions)
  • Completing periodic tasks to the strict Group timetable (including enhanced monthly /quarterly report requirements)
  • Ad-hoc reporting and analysis for the senior management as required
  • Getting involved in various projects across the business

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Build strong working relationship in shared service environment and work with other professionals across the Support Services
  • Attend technical courses to improve your IFRS working knowledge

To be successful, you will need:

  • ACA or ACCA qualified preferably from a Big 6 firm with 2-3 years PQE
  • Previous PLC reporting experience and IFRS working knowledge is must
  • Multi-currency · Consolidations
