Description

The role will be based in the office on-site in Portobello and the team is looking for someone to start ASAP. The role has come up due to workload and on successful completion of 2-3 month contract you will be converted to a permanent employee.

This is a great, varied and busy role for 20 hours a week with a reliable manufacturing business in the Leith/Portobello area.

Role

Initially you will be responsible for organising and sorting all the filing and documents for the upcoming annual audit.

After this 'project' the long term role will involve the following:

- Producing daily reports for other business teams

- Keeping financial records up to date

- Processing and paying low volume of invoices

- Working closely with the admin team to ensure smooth operations and back office support to business operations

- Filing

- Answering phones and queries

- Various ad hoc tasks

Profile

The ideal candidate will have previous office experience, be switched on and able to hit the ground running working to their own initiative. Excellent organisational skills will be key.

Strong communication, computer and excel skills will be beneficial but full training will be provided. This role is particularly suited to someone returning to work from a break and/or looking for family friendly hours or reduced hours(although this is not exclusive!)

A car would be useful but if you don't mind a short walk then buses stop nearby too.

Company

The company is reputable and innovative and the team is small but sociable and friendly. They are medium sized and specialise in a particular area of engineering.

You will work alongside two other administrators closely but also with the wider business and suppliers/engineers/clients.

Salary & Benefits

The salary for this role is in the region of £17,000-20,000 depending on experience.

The team often have team outings and go for drinks often, there is a strong focus and understanding of work life balance.
