Description

Robert Half are actively seeking to recruit for a Payroll Specialist for our family owned client in Enfield. This is a brilliant opportunity for you if are looking for a new opportunity to progress your Payroll career in a company with excellent values.

Role responsibilities

  • To handle a complex monthly payroll processing for over 450 staff from start to finish and further involvement with micro-payrolls
  • To manage the third-party payroll provider building strong working relationships with the account managers for swift resolution to issues
  • To assist in the generation of bonus and commission calculations directly from Accounts
  • To update all payroll related spreadsheets daily to ensure accurate and up to date information
  • To input statutory payment calculations and resolve related queries
  • To input all payroll data accurately and efficiently, answering questions and requests working closely with the HR Team
  • To update payroll records by reviewing and approving changes in HR.Net
  • To process HMRC payments with the FD's approval
  • To assist in the preparation of payroll journals with the Accounts Team
  • To balance the payroll accounts by resolving payroll discrepancies
  • To prepare information required by various third parties including pension returns, attachment of earnings and salary sacrifice schemes
  • To manage regular preparation of relevant reports and prepare commentaries around payroll variances
  • To make any additional staff payments to employees as agreed, via bank transfer and ensure payments are reflected on the following payslip
  • To process all year end statutory documents eg P11d's and P60's
  • To assist with the implementation of annual payplansPerson Specification
  • Currently working in a payroll function with payroll legislation
  • Experienced with Freedom & SAGE payroll system software - preferred
  • Have good IT skills including the ability to use Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel to a high level to include VLOOKUP and Pivot tables
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
  • Enjoy working as part of a team
  • 5 years experience with Payroll/HR or Accounting team
  • Have Clean UK Driving Licence
  • You will be CIPP qualified or working towards your ACCA.

  • Salary & Benefits The client can offer a salary of £27,000 - £30,000 plus benefits such as a competitive annual leave allowance, employee discount schemes and generous pension scheme.
