SENIOR MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT £45,000 + benefits + bonus

Robert Half are delighted to be working exclusively with a highly successful business in South Bristol to seek a qualified Senior Management Accountant to complete their expanding team. This exciting company offers clear progression paths, as well as a vibrant and friendly environment making it a very sought-after employer in the South West. This role is most suited for a qualified, experienced Senior Management Accountant with a salary of £45,000 + benefits + bonus.

Role

The Senior Management Accountant will report directly in to the Finance Manager and manage a small team. Main tasks will be sales reconciliation work, ownership and production of P&Ls, balance sheet reconciliations and regular liaison with stakeholders. Key duties include:

  • Owning specific P&Ls and producing their monthly management accounts to a high level of accuracy
  • Line management of a small team, reviewing their work as well as providing line management support and guidance
  • Working with the team to deliver a comprehensively reconciled balance sheet pack each month
  • Providing clear and actionable P&L explanation and commentary to the business support managers each month
  • Dealing with stakeholder queries regarding results, providing support to clear surgery reconciliation differences each month, and ensuring any process issues are picked up and resolved
  • Working with the team to ensure current processes are efficient and fit for purpose, and to help identify areas for efficiency gains to support the next phase of growth
  • Regular interaction with stakeholders to answer queries and assist them with process adherence
  • Any other ad hoc tasks as required

Profile

  • Must have experience in accounts production / management accountant roles
  • Strong academically
  • ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualified
  • Excellent IT skills including excel
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Deadline focussed
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Line management experience beneficial
