Business Analyst Business Analyst (PeopleSoft Financials Analyst /ERP / SQL)- City -£45K

This is an exciting time to join a Business Analyst to join a large real estate (property) company based in St Pauls, London.

Role Purpose

This is an analytical role where the candidate will be required to work with all countries across the EMEA region and provide support with day to day, monthly, quarterly and annual close activities in use of PeopleSoft Financials. The candidate will be required to monitor the Accounts Receivable and Labor Allocations modules, govern the business processes and provide systems support to ensure issues are resolved and transactions processed in a timely manner. The candidate will also be required to help design and test new functionality as required by the business.

The Role would suit an experienced finance support professional with an aptitude for issues resolution seeking a challenging analytical financial systems role. The candidate will have an opportunity to train and gain expert knowledge and experience in the use, analysis and development of a market leading ERP solution.

To be successful in this Role the candidate must have a good understanding of finance and have a passion for IT. This Role will offer the opportunity to play a crucial role across these two specialisms.

This will involve working closely with:

  • The Finance and Operational teams across the EMEA region
  • EMEA Finance Governance team
  • Global Finance Governance teams
  • Global Digital & Technology PeopleSoft Development Team
  • Global Security Team

The responsibilities include:

  • To provide Accounts Receivable and Labor Allocations support to all countries within the EMEA region
  • To be proactive in identifying issues, troubleshooting and providing solutions
  • To act as a regional subject matter expert and promote best practice processes
  • To work collaboratively with other Governance team members to ensure alignment of solutions.
  • To identify, document and implement solutions for improvement opportunities
  • To provide information to the PeopleSoft developers to meet the design specifications
  • To test system modifications in conjunction with the key system users in the business
  • To understand requirements and information users need to have an impact on the operations and performance of the business units
  • To provide training to the key system users in the business when required
  • To create job aids and documentation for the business and internally within the Governance team

Person Specification

  • 3+ years Production systems experience
  • Good attention to detail
  • Strong organisational and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage a fast moving and dynamic work environment
  • Ability to prioritise and co-ordinate tasks efficiently ensuring all deadlines are met
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective presenter and communicator of information to both financial and non-financial audiences
  • Team player who deals effectively with colleagues and internal clients
  • Ability to be sensitive with dealing with people of different cultures and who have English as a second language
  • Confident and assertive where required
  • Maintain a positive attitude towards routine tasks

Skills Required

  • Accounting/Finance knowledge either through a finance qualification or from on the job learning
  • Knowledge of SQL is preferred
  • Previous ERP support experience (PeopleSoft preferred)
  • Strong IT skills with good conceptual knowledge of accounting systems
