R&D Tax Manager

Robert Half are working with a Top 20 firm managing your own portfolio of clients from across a range of exciting industries, you'll do whatever it takes to deliver outstanding results - giving tax advice, submitting robust R&D tax credit claims and pushing the boundaries of innovation in the UK.
About the Role:
As a tax manager, you'll be the main point of contact for your clients - there to advise, assist and update them at every stage of their claim journey. You'll need to totally understand the businesses you're dealing with, so you'll do in-depth interviews to uncover as much insight as possible. Sometimes that'll mean technical research, sometimes it won't, but it'll always mean understanding the wider impact of the advice you give - both on your clients' businesses and on the industry.
As well as being technically brilliant with tax, our client is looking for someone who can lead. Your time will be split between delivering fully maximised claims for your clients and supervising and mentoring your team. You'll be responsible for managing and getting the best out of your colleagues, helping them to excel and hit target. With your experience you'll also deliver technical training to the teams, helping us grow the next generation of Top 20
To be a great tax manager, it's fair to say you'll need a brilliant knowledge of tax. Our client is looking for a technical minded person with more than 3 years' post-qualification tax experience. You'll need to be fully tax or accountancy qualified. So, if you're ambitious, eager to get involved, are a strong communicator, and can thrive under pressure, you could just be our client's perfect match.
