My client based in Watford are seeking to recruit a Financial Controller to work in a small finance team within the Leisure Industry. The Financial controller will be responsible for the controlling and the reporting of the company's expenses and it will report into the Chief Executive. This role will have one direct report.
Posting all cashbook and journal entries on to accounting system
Reporting monthly Management accounts
Making Accruals and Prepayments
Filing quarterly VAT returns
Liaising with auditors to produce annual statutory accounts
Compiling and completing the annual Budget
Depreciation and fixed asset register
Annual P11d returns/Annual PSA returns
Liaising with rental property agents /tenants
Reconcile and monitor Debentures
Pay PAYE, NI and Student Loans
Reconcile pension payments
To report financial status at the Head of Department meeting
Must have previous similar experience
Can be either ACCA/CIMA Qualified, Part Qualified or Qualified by experience
Knowledge of ESP
Knowledge of Omega
Knowledge of SAGE
Ability to work alone
My client are well known within the Leisure Industry and this is an exciting opportunity to join a small but well functioning finance department.
Salary & Benefits
The salary is £35,000 and 20 days annual holidays, free staff lunch, free parking and other company specific benefits.
