Robert Half are proud to be recruiting for an Operations Assistant for a leading firm based in Romsey

Role

The role will include HR, Administration, and Finance related responsibilities.

The responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • First point of contact within the business for any incoming calls, all facilities issues, and IT issues
  • Update and maintain office and company policies as necessary
  • Provide administrative support in relation to HR and recruitment
  • Monitoring and implementation of HR processes
  • Tracking absence
  • Assist with financial management including data entry and monthly reporting
  • Act as the centralised purchasing point for all office supplies
  • Accounts Payable, including matching invoices against cash flow and/or purchase orders; payment of invoices; and dealing with supplier queries
  • Vendor Management and negotiation, introducing savings where possible

Profile

The ideal candidate:

  • Excellent IT skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Able to write letters and emails in a highly professional manner
  • Good organisation skills and be self-motivated
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple parallel tasks
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong team working skills
  • Efficient and has excellent time management skills
  • Self-starter, hardworking and with a pragmatic work ethic
  • Experience in an administrative role
  • Knowledge of software packages
  • Good interpersonal and time management skills
  • Proficiency in a foreign language is not essential, but would be an advantage
