Description

Robert Half are supporting our international client based in St Albans on the recruitment of an excellent Financial Controller position. This is a high level role managing 3 staff and helping to manage and improve reconciliation processes, financial reporting and business partnering across a large organisation.

Role

The Financial Controller will be responsible for:

-Managing a team of three Financial Accountants

-Working with the team setting goals to drive and improve performance across the group

-Holding team members accountable to objectives and coach and support as required to achieve departmental goals

-Completing and review reconciliations and ensure timely completion of all responsibilities and submission into Blackline

-Partnering with our newly created Global Captive Centre, based in Manila, to evolve and standardise reconciliation processes across EMEA

-Driving and supporting the transition of additional Reporting tasks to our Global Shared Service Centre

-Executing standard processes across all locations and ensure consistent performance

-Participating as an active member of the EMEA Finance team and work with the rest of the group to implement strategies, drive improvements and improve customer service

-Promoting and participating in an environment that maximises productivity and service effectiveness, professional development, open communication and teamwork

-Monitoring regional KPIs and SLAs

-Ensuring full compliance with Sarbanes Oxley controls and Internal Audit requirements

-Working with External Auditors

-Partnering with internal stakeholders across the EMEA region

Profile

For this Financial Controller position we are looking for a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) who has managed staff, managed reconciliation processes, month end consolidation, external auditors and financial reporting. Previous experience in a shared service centre would be an advantage.
