Robert Half are recruiting for a Head of Transactional Finance position based in Gloucester offering up to £50,000. The role is looking after 3 separate teams within a large business - there is a strong focus on people management and leading in an ever-changing environment. HEAD OF TRANSACTIONAL FINANCE

Robert Half are recruiting for a Head of Transactional Finance position based in Gloucester offering up to £50,000. The role is looking after 3 separate teams within a large business - there is a strong focus on people management and leading in an ever-changing environment. This is the perfect position for someone looking to take a step up in terms of the overall size of team they will be managing.

The Role

Reporting directly into the FC - you will be managing 3 team leaders of the AR, AP and DD teams and overseeing a total of 22 heads.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsibility for and management of the purchase ledger and customer payment processing teams and functions.
  • Completeness and accuracy of the financial ledgers.
  • Design and implementation of efficient and effective process enhancements.
  • Supervision of the regular bank reconciliation processes for payments.
  • Responsibility for the production of management information as required, including aged creditor reports and purchasing information.
  • Responsibility for prompt collection of amounts owed to Group companies where applicable.
  • Preparation of audit information as required.
  • Responsibility for ensuring that all financial records are accurate and complete, and maintained in accordance with relevant company, external audit and legislative requirements.
  • Responsibility for internal audit checks to ensure compliance with all internal, external and legislative requirements.
  • Take the lead in projects involving the AP and AR functions.
  • Any other duties commensurate with the role.

Your Profile

  • Significant experience of managing teams -in particular, processing staff
  • Significant experience of both accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Ideally AAT qualified, but no essential
  • Systems implementation experience is preferred and desirable
  • SAP knowledge is desirable
