Description

The IT support analyst will provide effective IT assistance across all aspects of the business and will provide back up and support to the IT service desk manager.

This role acts as the face of IT, so an approachable, friendly attitude is essential.

You will play an important role in ensuring that the IT Support and Service Team provides strategic, routine and emergency support to users on Windows 10 Laptops in line with documented service standards.

In addition to user support, the IT Support Analyst will manage aspects of Microsoft Cloud services including:

  • O365 mail adds, moves and changes of email, assigning shared mailboxes including permissions and problem solving issues
  • managing, assigning and reporting on mobile devices via MS Intune
  • Using MS SCCM to manage and build PC's and Laptops
  • managing Azure AD including adds, moves and changes, group assignments and managing user groups.

Within this role you will also:

  • provide a support service working with customers to resolve their IT incidents
  • regularly check the ITSM system and verify, log, investigate and progress any issues found
  • undertake user account and infrastructure administration and problem solving
  • providing frontline IT helpdesk support, remotely or at the physical location
  • provide some support to a conference centre environment
  • resolve infrastructure and systems incidents and problems
  • set up new user accounts and archive old user accounts in accordance with local policy
  • monitor and resolve logged issues with the local servers and wider services not directly supported
  • carry out routine proactive tasks to ensure availability of systems
  • act on issues highlighted through regular reports produced and take proactive action where needed
  • undertake general troubleshooting and investigative work with network and wireless connectivity
  • follow and contribute to standard processes and local team policies

Experience:

Essential -

  • Experience of working within a busy IT Service Desk team, both 1st and 2nd
  • Experience working with an IT Service/Case Management tool, demonstrating effective prioritisation of tasks
  • Experienced in using Active Directory/ creating Group Policies/ security groups
  • Experience supporting mobile users on the full Microsoft Office 365 suite and other cloud apps
  • Experience supporting Windows 10 and preferably Mac OS
  • Experience of managing own workload and prioritising issues effectively
  • Experienced in supporting and maintaining Windows Servers and VMs
  • Proven ability to work with a variety of stakeholders, both technical & non-technical, maintaining professionalism at all times

Desirable -

  • ITIL Foundation Certification
  • Network Engineering experience
  • Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP)
