Based in Weymouth, this role offers the opportunity for the individual to be instrumental in helping FGP to continue their growth plans in the coming 12 months.

Role

This Role will be supporting the group of 3 companies and looking after the small finance team whilst reporting to the Financial Controller. Some travel to Yeovil will be required to build relationships with the other sites.

This individual will need to be ideally be AAT qualified or Qualified by experience, with the ability to hit the ground running. You MUST have staff management experience as well as demonstrable finance experience. Knowledge of Sage is advantageous but not essential, strong pivot tables and v lookups are key for this role.

Duties will include but not limited to:

  • Manage a small team- appraisals, coaching etc
  • Internal and external stakeholder management
  • Budgets and forecasting- working with department heads to support the management of their budgets.
  • Support Department heads with analysis and ad hoc projects
  • Month end duties- running the month end close, Accruals, Journals and Prepayments
  • Fixed Assets, depreciation
  • National statistics
  • Variance Analysis
  • Cash flow forecasting and analysis
  • VAT returns
  • Supporting the auditors
  • Bank Reconciliations and company credit cards

Profile

You will ideally AAT qualified or qualified by experience with a keen eye for detail. This role comes with a lot of visibility to the board and you will be supporting the Financial Controller. You must be passionate about your role and know the story behind the numbers and be able to report to the board in the FC's absence.

Salary & Benefits

This roles comes with a competitive package up to £45k base salary dependent on experience, 25 days annual leave, pension, onsite coffee shop/ tuck shop. Hours are Mon- Thurs 8am- 5pm and Fri- 8am- 1pm with 1 hour for lunch. Various social events, summer party, Christmas party and ad hoc quarterly events for high achievers, Onsite parking.
