Role overview:

Works in partnership with the business areas in their portfolio to understand what the business do, how they operate, what their business strategy is, what their growth plans are and how engaged their people are. They will work with key stakeholders collaboratively to understand key business priorities, people priorities to contribute and lead on developing a people strategy which is relevant and achievable in an ever changing environment, while also working closely with global partners on core projects spanning the business in US/EMEA/APAC regions to innovate and seek consistency.; create, build and strengthen professional relationship across the company as a whole.

This position during the period of growth will be a combination of operational and strategic work and with further business growth will come greater opportunities. This role would suit a Senior HR Advisor or Junior HRBP who is looking to develop up into a more senior business partnering role.

Core responsibilities

  • First point of contact for day to day HR queries and escalations from staff and managers
  • Lead on the management of Employee Relations cases, including grievance, disciplinary, performance and capability investigations and hearings where necessary
  • Partner with line managers in the effective performance management of their teams - help identify appropriate HR interventions to support managers in creating high performing teams
  • Continuously drive the education of line mangers to deal with all manner of employee issues
  • Monitor, review and update HR policies in line with current legislations, best practice and cultural norms
  • Provide oversight and implementation of the Human Resource strategy throughout EMEA
  • Partner as part of EMEA Leadership team to align People Strategy with overall business strategy and initiatives
  • Design and participate in HR and strategic projects related to attraction, engagement and retention of the workforce
  • Partner with Senior Management to analyse and use HR data to support the needs of the EMEA region (hiring, termination, ER etc.); to influence and engage with Leadership
  • Own, educate and lead on annual performance cycle
  • Reward and compensation benchmarking to keep in line with external industry markets and drive consistency
  • Consult widely and collaboratively with the wider HR Team, L&D, Legal and Risk to deliver a best practice service and gaining broad insight
  • Partner with APAC and North America HR/Immigration/ Leadership on global mobility issues and practices
  • Oversee HR compliance needs of countries within EMEA
  • Project Management and input/collaboration on global and domestic project priorities such as, on boarding, global policy, attrition, payroll, talent and succession planning
  • Maintain historical human resource records, keeping past and current records and participating in audits as required
  • Partner with Leadership and communication partners to develop and drive communications
  • Serve as point of contact (POC) for external vendors contracted to assist with internal hires - provide regular updates to Leadership around internal hiring successes and opportunities
  • Maintain professional knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, participating in professional societies
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing results as needed
  • Be a trusted advisor
  • Other duties as assigned

Desired skills and qualifications:

  • CIPD Qualified with at 3 - 5 years' experience
  • Evidence of senior level stakeholder management and engagement
  • Confidence to challenge the status quo
  • Evidence of a commercial outlook
  • Able to work autonomously
  • Current knowledge of HR Practices
  • Knowledge of other European employment law a plus
  • Must be able to handle multiple projects, be self-motivated, and work with minimal supervision
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills as well as the ability to interact and communicate effectively with Leadership
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to respond in a constructive and neutral manner in adverse situation
