The first three months of 2021 proved challenging for several employees who faced home schooling; the company continued to offer seminars and flexible working options. During 2021, staff continued to work from home, training was given to managers to support them with managing staff remotely. Employees are given the opportunity to provide feedback and suggest improvements through quarterly Employee voice surveys. Quarterly calls presented by US and UK leaders are held to keep staff up to date with various financial and economic factors affecting the performance of the company. The company introduced a monthly News You Need communication informing all staff of up and coming projects and training relating to all departments within the company. Robert Half Limited remains deeply committed to creating a culture where all employees can connect, grow and thrive. During the year, the company continued to roll out programs to create an inclusive environment, The UK Global Women Employee Network, introduced in 2020, continues to grow and holds regular updates through book clubs and seminars with guest speakers. The Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Counsel held their first event in 2021 and now have regular quarterly updates though speakers, blogs and newsletters. The employee network group LGBTQIA, along with BELONG and ProPride, host panel events to build knowledge and awareness. The company’s commitment to employee well-being continued with further mental awareness sessions for all managers. Robert Half Limited strives to create an environment where people can bring their whole selves to work every day.
Given the industry in which we operate, we do not have an extensive supply chain network. Our supply chains include, amongst others: office supplies including stationery, IT hardware and software, cleaning and catering services, advertising and print services, office fit-out and maintenance services, and professional services. We identify and assess the risk of potential slavery and human trafficking in our supply chains using a number of factors including the requirement for all suppliers to agree to comply with the Modern Slavery Act. We continue to publish our payment practices in line with the Reporting on Payment Practices and Performance Regulations 2017 and on average across our supply chain it takes the company 18.6 days to pay our suppliers with 93.8% of all invoices being paid within 30 days.
Robert Half Limited continually looks to improve the candidate experience by working with our consultants working with candidates, to understand their career goals and find the right job that is the right fit for them. Robert Half Limited is pleased to offer our candidates a comprehensive online training program. With a library of over 70,000 courses, we offer a wide range of topics including accountancy, finance, auditing, administration, HR, technology and project management all through Skillport. We also undertake training on CV5. preparing candidates for interview with training and additionally sharing local hiring trends. We ask our candidates to complete surveys following their assignments to continually improve our service. Robert Half Limited has created a solution giving our candidates the ability to securely connect to our clients’ networks via loaned laptops and cloud services connectivity thus enabling them to have the option of remote working.
We assist businesses in locating the talent they need to succeed and expand. To engage with our clients successfully. we need to understand their requirements. Our unique approach, expertise. technology and robust resources power our ability to connect clients with experienced professionals who are a great fit for the positions the clients need. Our staff are provided with tablets to enable them to visit clients on site and provide them with hiring information. We continue to invest in our candidate/client portals to ensure the best possible user experience, We have leveraged leading-edge technology and remote solutions to help clients maintain essential operations. For example: We offer access to remote workers for critical operations from highly skilled professionals worldwide. We’ve enabled secure virtual desktops through cloud services so remote staff can use their personal devices to access client applications and data. We can meet with clients and candidates virtually through video conferencing and video interviews. 
Robert Half Limited’s global volunteer and philanthropy programs are central to our social responsibility efforts, Robert Half Limited encourages our employees to take the lead through volunteer work and fundraising activities that support the issues that matter most to them personally. During the pandemic with remote working, social distancing and restrictions in movements we undertook virtual events and activities to continue to raise funds for our nominated charity MIND. Our IT equipment is passed onto a charity to be reused in underfunded areas.
We are committed to decreasing our environmental impact and in 2021 we continue to take steps to better quantify, reduce and report our environmental footprint. Robert Half Limited has a global environment committee whose mission is to conduct business in a way that protects the environment, conserves resources and endures sustainable development.
